Back when I was a kid playing UT2k4 and RF everyone used IPB and phpBB was just kinda coming out, and vBulletin was pretty popular too. myBB seems great so far though I definitely think it has improvements over phpBB, granted I haven't used phpBB in over a decade so I'm sure it has a lot of the same features ate this point.
