Sour Diesel - Papermill Cannabis Co
#1
Thumbs Down
Every time a Sour comes down the line in this market my lizard brain goes off and I just have to see what it’s about. This Sour is the SkunkVA cut, which I’m trying for the first time with this sample, and there are some noticeable differences from the Karma and Skunktek cuts we usually get. The first is obvious with the appearance, it’s got lots of foxtails, it’s quite fluffy with copper pistils and it’s got a lot of resin. Usually copper pistils denote a mustier aroma and flavor and I’d say this is really even between woodsy skunk diesel and the expired milk sour. It’s not nearly as sweet as the Karma Bx versions which have a lot of Kush in them but it’s also not as earthy as the Skunktek version. Sour being so fluffy and covered in weird morphology sugar leaves, it’s often a muted aroma before the blend, which is the case here, but it really opens up to an almost offensive level of pungency on blend. Of course like just about everything else from Papermill, the smoke is smooth and super flavorful. The aromas carry over as palate staining flavors and every trait translates to the effect in the ways you’d expect. It’s super buzzy and energizing but not racy at all. It’s an eye drooper but very function, and has a super easy comedown. Overall, this version of Sour is excellent and is one I’d especially recommend to folks who’ve been curious to try a straight sour for a long time. The aromas and flavors are on point, the effect is exactly what I’m looking for and it all comes together in a beautiful package at a great value ticket ✅?
